HyperTRANSCRIBE 2.0 offers these new features and enhancements:

• All new 64-bit internal framework, optimized for 64-bit Operating Systems (including macOS 10.15 "Catalina")
• Uses macOS AVF and Windows DirectShow for media (no longer dependent on Apple's Quicktime)
• Full Unicode support for many languages and character sets
• Import from Plain Text, MS-Word, OpenOffice, RTF, or (limited) HTML
• Export to Plain Text, MS-Word, RTF, HTML, PDF, Excel, Tab Separated Values (TSV), SBV Caption, SubRip Caption, and WebVTT Caption formats
• Spellchecking
• Multiple improvements to user interface
• For site administrators: -R command line option adds appropriate registry entries under Windows
• With additional stability enhancements and improvements, this release continues Researchware's commitment to quality products and customer service, while enhancing the customer experience through a variety of feature updates, improvements, and added benefits not available in prior versions.

New feature: Spellchecking

You now have an option to have HyperTRANSCRIBE mark potential spelling mistakes while you type (for perfectionists who prefer to catch mistakes during initial transcribing), or to check spelling on command (helpful during the final review of a transcript).

New feature: 64-bit Architecture for Optimization for Catalina

HyperTRANSCRIBE 2.0.0 is optimized for use with 64-bit operating systems, including Apple's macOS 10.15 (Catalina), and is notarized by Apple. HyperTRANSCRIBE 2.0.0 will, of course, also run well on older macOS systems (10.9 Mavericks - 10.14 Mojave) and with Windows computer systems (Windows 7, 8.x, 10+).

Improved: Expanded User Interface Options for Media Control

HyperTRANSCRIBE 2.0.0 harmonized and expands media playback control buttons, menu commands, and keyboard shortcuts for media control.

Note: For media on Windows, you must download and install the free "LAV Filters". This provides support for many more media formats than the limited number Microsoft supports by default in its operating system. For more information, see here or download the LAV Filters installer from here.
