Can I use source files in languages other than English?
HyperRESEARCH supports the Unicode standard, which lets you display source files in almost any language. This includes languages that use the Roman alphabet (such as English and most European languages), as well as languages that use other alphabets and character sets (such as Greek or Russian). Source files that include multiple languages can be displayed and coded.
(Code names, case names, and annotations, however, must be written in the Roman alphabet.)
Note: Because of a limitation in the text engine used by HyperRESEARCH, the source window cannot display text consisting of multiple words in languages that are written right-to-left (such as Arabic or Hebrew). Individual words are displayed correctly, but the words are ordered left to right, instead of right to left.
A future version of HyperRESEARCH will correct this limitation and allow display of right-to-left languages.
If you have any questions about the compatibility of your source files, we suggest downloading and installing the Free Limited Edition, so that you can try your own sources in the program itself.
