HyperTRANSCRIBE 2.0.1 Released
Researchware, Inc. released HyperTRANSCRIBE™ 2.0.1 on Sunday, October 8, 2023. This release is a maintenance release in the HyperTRANSCRIBE 2.x.x series. Version 2.0.1 provides a number of improvements to HyperTRANSCRIBE 2.0.0:
HyperTRANSCRIBE is Researchware's tool for manual transcription of digital media using the science of short term memory retention. This release provides support for macOS Sonoma.
Improvements in HyperTRANSCRIBE 2.0.1 include:
- macOS Sonoma (14.x.x) support. Note: HyperTRANSCRIBE 2.0.1 is the minimum version of HyperRESEARCH that will run under macOS Sonoma (14.x.x)
- Help
For customers upgrading to HyperTRANSCRIBE 2.0.1 from HyperTRANSCRIBE version 1.6.1 or earlier, a paid upgrade is required for a new license key. Contact sales@researchware.com if you would like more information or assistance.
Updating to the new version is easy:
- Download & install HyperTRANSCRIBE 2.0.1
- Launch the software and:
- Choose "Use Free Limited Edition" if you wish to "try before you buy," OR
- Enter a valid HyperRESEARCH 2.x.x license key if you wish to lift the restrictions placed in Free Limited Edition mode.
Requirements for Windows:
You must download and install the free "LAV Filters." This provides support for many more media formats than the limited number Microsoft supports by default in its operating system. For more information, see here ,or download the LAV Filters installer from here.
The HyperTRANSCRIBE Installer requires Administrative permissions to install HyperTRANSCRIBE into the "Program Files x86" folder (default location).
Requirements for macOS:
