Teaching Assistance

Thank you for contacting us for assistance with your HyperRESEARCH or HyperTRANSCRIBE workshop, presentation, or use in class!

This web page offers the following assistance:

Information and links to support materials available on our website for HyperRESEARCH and HyperTRANSCRIBE users that are especially useful for teachers and presenters working with HyperRESEARCH, including:

Download the Free Limited Edition of HyperRESEARCH:

http://researchware.com/products/hyperresearch/download.html

The "Free Limited Edition" is a locked version of HyperRESEARCH that imposes restrictions on the size of the study file a user can create. There is no time limit on the Free Limited Edition; once installed on the computer it will continue to function, although in the "limited edition" state. Unlocking the software to gain full capabilities is a simple matter of purchasing and inputting a license key.

The Free Limited Edition can be installed on as many computers as you like.

The specific restrictions in the Free Limited Edition are:
Cases: 7
Codes in Code Book: 75
Code Instances per Case: 50

Please note: there are no restrictions on the size of a study the Free Limited Edition can open. This allows the Free Limited Edition to be used as a "player" or "viewer" for HyperRESEARCH studies of any size. Changes to the study will not be possible, but users can view the study, filter cases and codes, and create Reports without needing a license.

This allows teachers and workshop presenters to create a sample study for students and workshop participants to see the full capabilities of HyperRESEARCH.

Presenters are also welcome to use the sample studies included with the software. These are small studies that fall within the limits of the Free Limited Edition so that changes can be made by students trying out the software (provided that the limits in the number of cases and codes aren't exceeded).

 "HyperRESEARCH Basics" Webinar:

http://researchware.com/support/online-training.html

Our hour-long "HyperRESEARCH Basics" webinar (in four parts) may be helpful. It covers "code and retrieve" with the software. Watch it for your own use, or direct your students or workshop attendees to the videos. You may also use the videos in your workshop or class. Contact us if you'd like a continuous 1-hour video rather than the four 15-minute segments.

 HyperRESEARCH  User Guide:

http://researchware.com/support/download-docs.html

The HyperRESEARCH User Guide is installed with every copy of HyperRESEARCH. A printable PDF version is within the "Documents" folder in the "HyperRESEARCH" folder in Applications (Mac) or Programs (Windows). The same information is available in the interactive Help system within HyperRESEARCH.

You are welcome to print out and distribute copies of the HyperRESEARCH User Guide as you like. You may also use any portion of the HyperRESEARCH User Guide or of the Tutorials in your workshop or in materials you give out to participants or students.

Download the Demo Version of HyperTRANSCRIBE:

http://researchware.com/products/hypertranscribe/download.html

As with HyperRESEARCH, the downloadable HyperTRANSCRIBE is the full software, but with restrictions put in place for "demo only" use.

The restrictions for HyperTRANSCRIBE are:
•    The Save, Export, Copy, and Paste commands are disabled.
•    Drag and drop from HyperTRANSCRIBE to other programs is disabled.

These features are enabled once you enter a license key, which you can order using the Buy HyperTRANSCRIBE link in the HyperTRANSCRIBE sub-menu under the Products menu.

The Demo Version of HyperTRANSCRIBE may be installed on as many computers as you wish.

If you need students to be able to save the transcription work they do while using HyperTRANSCRIBE in your workshop, please contact us to obtain permission and license keys to temporarily unlock the software for the purposes of your workshop.
Please note that the unlocked version of HyperTRANSCRIBE must be removed from all computers at the end of your workshop or class - unless you purchase license keys for those copies. "Demo Version" copies of HyperTRANSCRIBE may of course be re-installed.

 HyperTRANSCRIBE  User Guide:

http://www.researchware.com/downloads/researchware-repository/Public-Files/User-Guides/HyperTRANSCRIBE-User-Guide/

The HyperTRANSCRIBE User Guide is installed with every copy of HyperTRANSCRIBE. A printable PDF version is within the "HyperTRANSCRIBE" folder in Applications (Mac) or Programs (Windows). The same information is available in the interactive Help system within HyperTRANSCRIBE.

You are welcome to print out and distribute copies of the HyperTRANSCRIBE User Guide as you like. You may also use any portion of the HyperRESEARCH User Guide or of the Tutorials in your workshop or in materials you give out to participants.
